Like I explained to my uncle on Easter:
When Cooper arrived in town, he remarked to Truman that it was lucky
for him [Truman] that Ronette had crossed the state line when she
wandered back over that bridge.  If it wasn't an interstate crime,
the FBI wouldn't have gotten involved.
