The weird speech in the dream was footage being played backwards.  What
they did was transcribe the lines phonetically, reverse them, and have the
actors say their lines phonetically backwards.  So if you'd been on the
set you would have seen the actors carefully reading gibberish from cue
cards.  When you play it backwards, it comes out sounding like really
weird English.

I don't have any inside info or anything, but I've produced this effect
myself before and recognize it.
