Subject: Finger Snapping

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but Cooper was snapping his fingers
after he declared he knew who the killer was.  I am often distracted
while watching the show (a 1-year old daughter), but who was the guy
playing the record that caused Laura's mother to freak out?  Wasn't he
snapping his fingers too?  Wasn't the music in the two scenes (dream and
record player) similar?
