There is nothing mysterious about this song. The repeating of the phrase "Pennsylvania 65000" after a phone rings in the song is just the phone number of the hotel where the song is set. (I forget which hotel it is exactly). Way back the phone numbers gave the exchange followed by some numbers. Some of you are just trying to read something into everything. Not everything is a symbol.
