It could all be Lynch's idea of a big joke on the American public, but I doubt it and I don't care anyway. The question doesn't have to be whether Lynch or anybody else did it on purpose, but what the effect is on you (us). You don't want to look for complex hidden meanings, you hit 'n'. ** Flame off ** In other news, did anybody else find the effect used in the dream sequence very interesting? I mean the way it was edited to be "jumpy", as if every so often frames had been dropped. Also, the views of Agent Cooper's face were strangely distorted; I couldn't tell if it was makeup or an electronic effect. Unfortunately, as has been made clear by others, that's it for the Lynch-directed episodes. -- George Ferguson ARPA: ferguson@cs.rochester.edu University of Rochester UUCP: {decvax, rutgers}!rochester!ferguson Rochester NY 14627 VOX: (716) 275-2527
