And in the scene at One-Eyed Jack's, Ben and Jerry come *up* the stairs into the bordello, implying that the bordello is above the casino. Also (this is stretching) Ben and Jerry cross the water at night to get to One-Eyed Jack's. Crossing dark water is a common literary metaphor for falling asleep and dreaming.
