Here's an idea for how Jacoby got the locket which nobody else has pointed
out. Remember where Donna and James met in the woods? Wouldn't it have made
sense for them to meet somewhere that had meaning to them. Particularly 
somewhere they used to go with Laura. For the same reason Jacoby might have
gone to where he used to meet Laura in the woods. While James and Donna were
making the resolution to bury the locket, Jacoby was just off behind a nearby 
tree listening to every word.

Just a thought. Any feedback?
