Welllll, I think that this probably applies to a lot of the characters of Twin Peaks. Ben, for example. Jacoby, sort of. Laura, definitely. Hank is doing this big time. And One-Eyed Jack's itself is a front for a bordello, so that fits, too. I don't think it applies to Truman. Josie's certainly hiding something, and I suspect that Donna is, too. However, Cooper is completely what he seems, as is Leo. The theme of "crawly bugs under the neatly trimmed lawn are battling" seems to be a favorite of Lynch's. Sadly, it also seems to be a favorite of the real world. > >Can Truman be hiding something? Could he be connected to > >Hank somehow? I don't think Truman's hiding anything. I *do* think that Josie's hiding something from him. I bet that he ends up looking quite gullible and foolish in a future episode. He's after Hank because he doesn't trust him. He knows Hank's up to something, in an intuitive way that's less developed than Cooper's. In other words, Hank's a bad 'un, and Harry knows it. -- - Barry gingrich%tisl@kuhub.cc.ukans.edu OR bgingric@Intrepid.ECE.UKans.EDU
