Well, in this instance, it was clear that it was a videotape, rather than
a real-time broadcast. You can see the VCR on top of the tv going.

Except that the details of the Banks murder weren't known to the public,
so Josie couldn't have known what to do to make Laura's murder resemble
the Banks murder. Even Harry the Sheriff didn't know about it when Coop
extracted the letter from under Laura's nail.

Ninjas were Japanese, not Chinese. And if Josie was a ninja (or a Chinese
equivalent), she would hardly have needed to get Hank to do her dirty
work for her vis a vis Andrew.
