(Sorry if I mis-remember, as I'm seeing Twin Peaks for the first time as it is re-run over the summer) What puzzled me about Pete Martell's discovery of Laura's body is that, when he called Sheriff Truman with his discovery, the Sheriff never asked who exactly was "dead; wrapped in plastic."
