In the dream, Laura does place a finger to her nose. I think she
uses her right hand and index finger.

The Bookhouse Boys trace the side of their eye with the other hand.

Don't confuse the two signs.

My interpretation: The former is Cooper dreaming that Laura did coke, or
                   even better, is enticing him to do coke -- this suggests
                   to me that Cooper suspects her of dealing or being
                   with the dealing of coke. This would also fall in with
                   the vulnerability Cooper has for pretty girls (he's
                   struck by Audrey, no?) -- she's inviting him.

   The latter sign is just the BB's secret sign, who knows
                   where it came from... resembles a salute, a watchfulness,
                   is subtle.
