Yeah, and they probably had some sort of psychic link with each other,
of the sort that identical twins are often rumoured to have. (Given
how much Lynch enjoys playing with "Psychic" trappings in TP --
Laura's visionary mother, and Cooper's weird dreams).  If so,
Madelaine might indeed have a lot of "secrets" about Laura and other
people in Twin Peaks, like Cooper's  dream hinted ("She's my cousin.
Doesn't she look like Laura Palmer?  She's full of secrets.")
