Subject: The maynah (sp) bird From: minar@reed.UUCP (Nelson Minar) Date: 1990-09-09, 01:09 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks My god, its happening - I'm getting hooked on TP. Somebody help me. In tonights episode (the 2 hour one), we hear a tape of the maynah bird speaking, presumably speaking what it heard the night of Laura's death. First, we hear the words "Laura, Laura" being said in a female voice. Do maynah birds parrot pitch as well as enunciation? If so, we can assume that a woman was saying "Laura, Laura" - a woman that sounds very much like Laura Palmer. Why would Laura be saying her own name? Later in the tape we hear the same woman saying "stop, you're hurting me." (or words to that effect) And then, "Stop, Leo, stop." Or is it "Stop, Leland, stop"? I presume its Leo, because that makes sense, but it wasn't entirely clear to me from the tape. And it would be awfully nifty if Laura was saying Leland. :) -- __ \/ minar@reed.bitnet You know in your heart its flat.
