Subject: Name coincidence, James Hurley From: mitchell@gluttony.uchicago.edu (Mitchell Marks) Date: 1990-09-10, 11:23 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks Our PBS station recently rebroadcast "The Trial of Bernard Goetz," something in between a dramatization and a "docu-drama" -- actors and sets rather than interviews etc with the actual participants, but the script was strictly an edited version of the trial transcript. The jury foreman was referred to by name a few times: James Hurley. (And it was spelled that way in the credits.) I offer this as a minor coincidence, not suggesting an intended allusion. The juror in "Goetz" didn't get to display much personality, he just wore a suit, looked attentive, and announced the verdicts. -- Mitch Marks mitchell@cs.UChicago.EDU My uncle is sick, but the road is green.
