It's an action flick (!). Turns out he needs a female |actress - with very few lines - to do some wrestling moves and the |one he was contemplating hurt herself taking some falls. So, David |has recruited Madusa Macelli, an active female wrestler currently working |in the lucrative Japanese market. Apparently, he's also hired Japanese |kung fu actress, Yukaro Oshima, who does Hong Kong martial arts films. Nip this one in the bud time. From the Wrestling Observer 9/10/90: ``First off, in the item last week about Madusa starring in a film called _High Calibre_, which it was stated would be directed by David Lynch (of _Twin Peaks_ fame), that is incorrect. The movie will be directed by Frankie Chan. When describing the movie to me, a publicist said ``it would be like _Black Rain_ directed by Sergio Leone and David Lynch,'' but what was meant is that is what the movie would be like, not that they were the directors.'' I saw the item last week, and thought about posting it but you've got to understand how flaky the wrestling press is. I don't know where Herb picked it up (Toronto press wrestling columns?), but more than likely the genesis was in the Observer. However, one can only hope that Lynch/Frost pick up the rights to the ongoing Bruiser Brody/Jose Gonzales/Atsushi Onita saga before _A Current Affair_ gets to it. -- John Reeves ----------------------------------------------------------- UCLA AI Lab Internet: reeves@cs.ucla.edu 3531 Boelter Hall UUCP: ...!(uunet,rutgers,ucbvax)!cs.ucla.edu!reeves UCLA LA CA 90024 ------------------------------------------------------
