It was also used in the movie "Excaliber". I went out an bought the piece after seeing the movie. I don't know much about classical music/contemporary. However, this piece is extremely dramatic. On Sunday night I found myself in somewhat of a dilemna solved by taping TP and then watching American Chronicles. I thought it was dark, but excellent. I got the "feel" of New Orleans, not the pretty pictures. I liked the collage effect and the way it was written, and Dreyfuss as narrator worked quite well. IMHO, the approach was to New Orleans "mystery" and the reality of the carnival, not to a glossed advertising, ie: "come to New Orlean's at Mardi Gras". The other part of my dilmena: I wish I had a tape of "Farewell to Flesh". Also, IMHO, Frost is just as weird as Lynch, and FYI, I think being weird is a compliment, not an insult. shanti, bobbie -- ##3COM Corp.-ESD bldg300-Santa Clara,CA:Bobbie (Barbara) Lawson W(408)764-5360 H(408)338-4002 bjl@bridge2.hqdev.3Com.com or bridge2!bjl
