It is really too bad, but I kinda had the feeling it would go this way. Twin Peaks is still quite new, and there were only eight episodes to judge from in the first place. Give the show a full season to firmly establish itself, and I think the story will be different at next year's Oscar show. BTW, I loved the bit with the log-lady too...the only bit of "humor" on the show that was actually funny... Gary W.
