Subject: Donna & Audrey From: jbillone@jarthur.Claremont.EDU (Jeremy Billones) Date: 1990-10-01, 10:10 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks I hope everybody has figured out by now that this newsgroup should have one huge ^L on it. Re: Donna. I doubt she's "possessed" by anyone or anything. She's in love (or at least a first order approximation) with James, and she knows James was attracted to Laura. So she's trying to act more like Laura. And IMHO, not being a very competent femme fatale, either. Is it the actress who can't play the ff, or is the actress portraying a character who can't? I suspect the former. At the same time, Maddie Ferguson is ditching her glasses for similar reasons. But this is more of a case of the actress who now has to *not* play the ff without hiding behind the glasses. An equally difficult task, which she has succeeded in so far. Re: Audrey. I'm of mixed impressions on her last scene. She's definitely praying to Dale Cooper, but I also get this odd feeling like she's mimicing his dictations to Diane. Has Audrey ever seen him do that? And we do it even if no one knows what we've done. Even if no one knows we exist. Even if no one knows we ever existed."
