Subject: One Hell of a Way to Kill a Tick From: joe@zitt (Joe Zitt) Date: 1990-10-01, 21:37 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks Various points: - People's hair >can< turn white overnight as a result of stress. This happened to a friend of mine who had to hide from enemy soldiers. - A partial theory: Laura invited Ronette into the train car for some further fooling around (the diary indicates this had happened before). Laura got rough with Ronette -- then BOB posessed Ronette, who killed Laura. Ronette is seeing her own actions in the flashback, with her own image replaced by BOB. She then (either with or without BOB driving) dumped Laura in the lake. I admit there are bugs here, and that BOB did look a lot like Leland. (I'd rewind and take a look again, but I gotta get at least >one< night's sleep without nightmares!) - Dr. Hayward has treated almost everyone in Twin Peaks. Couldn't he do a check for people with AB- blood? - What are the relative locations of the railroad car and the lake? - Has Maddy put on a lot of weight since last season? In the diner/glasses scene she bore a striking resemblance to Cyndi Lauper. - Didn't Shelley and Catherine escape the mill together? Why did they find Shelley but not Catherine? - What is the canonical numbering scheme for the show? Are the movies counted as episodes? (I would think so.) I suggest, depending on the agreed scheme, that we refer to the second season opener as either episode 2.0 or 2.1? - Can someone please (by email if necessary) run through again what happened in the Euroversion, for those of us who came into the group late? - A goofy Lynch self-reference: The giant's coming back to tell Cooper what he forgot is reminiscent of the beginning of Dune, where Princess Urinal (or something like that) gives a prologue, fades out, then fades back in and adds stuff she forgot to say. - Is anyone else starting to find Twin Peaks more real than consensus reality?
