Subject: Twin Peaks season premeir : The Lighter Side From: carl@robot.nuceng.ufl.edu (Drifter...) Date: 1990-10-01, 00:30 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks And now, as a rest from all the intense analyzing, theorizing, and ranting about who killed Laura Palmer and what the season premeir really means, here is a break down of some of my favorite funny bits from the season Premeir: - Agent Dale Cooper lying flat on the floor, suffering from a gunshot wound and probably several cracked ribs. Old man comes in with warm milk. Cooper points to the table and says "Put it over there." By golly, this man would probably straighten his tie in the event of a nuclear explosion! - Cooper lying on his back still, talking to Diane (via recorder). "If you can just forget the fear..." Puzzled expression, as if the phrase were familiar. That one took a moment to sink in but was worth it. - Cooper recovers in hospital bed, mentions how a wood tick had been itching him so he had pulled his bullet proof jacket up part way. "That would explain this, then," the doc says, and shows him the bullet with a tick stuck to it. "Heck of a way to kill a tick..." - Cooper getting up and telling the doc how the strength of will has amazing recuperative powers. "Just give me a few hours to put my clothes on." - Agent Andy bonking himself in the face with a loose board. This man is going to be brain dead by the end of the series. - Andy and Lucy being assigned to search through three years worth of back issues of Flesh World. Together. In the same room... Oh, and Lucy's reaction to looking at the first page of one of the magazines. - The hospital food. Perhaps Agent Cooper will encounter some and call upon the forces of Apple Pie to vanquish it? Oh, and Jack Nance's reaction to smelling the food... - Leland singing "Does Eat Oats" while Ben and Jerry to a dance routine. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CARL%NUCENG.DECNET@PINE.CIRCA.UFL.EDU - "Here, have a scooby snack." "That reminds me of the year I had a room next to Deidra's. Don't worry, all I heard was your electric shaver. At least I *hope* it was her electric shaver." --Doctor, Doctor *DISCLAIMER* - Contents is not connected with UF or NucEng department.
