Subject: reception problems? Deliberate?

My office-mate was going to post this, but he is out of the office for
a while, and I just couldn't wait.

Did anyone experience "reception-like" problems during some peak
moments (like when the giant is talking to Cooper in the next to last
scene, and he says "three people have seen ..{static}.. but only one
has seen the body", or whatever)?

The reason we ask is that the ambient soundtrack did *not* fade, only
the dialogue (we played the VCR back on this one). Like everything
else, it seemed suspicious.  Of course our minds went to town on this
one, as with almost every other little detail.

Just wondering if anyone else noticed a similar problem.
