When cooper, hawk, harry, and the doc (was andy there?) talked to the log lady
remember that she said "the owls were watching" or something to that effect. 
The way she said it gave me the impression that the owls were dark and or
sinister creatures in the woods.  Could it be that owls or some of them are the
dark evil force in the woods?  Could it be that they can shapeshift when the
time is right, or just any old time for that matter.

I think its pretty safe to say that bob is bob, he's not an owl, and I doubt
that he is human.
