Subject: Population of Twin Peaks includes ?????

I have always thought that the posted population (51,200?) on the 'Welcome to
Twin Peaks' sign was unreal.  Areas with 50,000 people are big towns
(or small cities).  Now I realize that owls and inhabitants from another
dimension (dwarfs, giants, killer BOB) must be taken into account when
computing the sum :-)
