I wondered about this, too. If you only read the diary, you'd picture Laura as a wired coke fiend! She even mentions "doing lines" in the bathroom during her visits with Johnny Horne! Plus the mountains that she snorts with Leo and Bobby... Also note that when she stops using coke for 19 (?) days, BOB disappears. When she starts again, she sees BOB crouching in the corner, smiling.
