Regarding the "dead end" at One Eyed Jack's, I got the feeling that
perhaps it was a device to make that hallway appear longer than it
was. Cooper and Truman reach a bend in the hallway, and then when
Cooper comes back and says "dead end" we're seeing them from a
different angle. It could be that they re-started there from a
point earlier in the hallway, but the editing made it appear that
they were continuing along starting from the same point. Less OEJ
set to build. Too bad they didn't use any money saved to bring
back "Invitation to Love."
Of course, I haven't checked the tape to see how much the evidence
confirms this theory, nor do I know enough about filmmaking to
know if such a device would be used. So, it's just wild speculation
on my part, making it perfectly suitable for this newsgroup. Gee,
maybe I should have put "spoiler" in the header... :-)
