Subject: Are we sure there was blue goo in the syringe?

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but are we *sure*
there was a blue chemical in the syringe that the one-armed man
dropped?  On reviewing my tape, it looks like the syringe is
empty, and the blue part is just the plastic hub of the needle.
Look at it this way: if the blue part is *not* the hub of the
needle, then where *is* the hub of the needle?  (Needle hubs
are frequently just that shade of blue plastic, by the way.)
