You are correct. It was Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick in the film version
of THE DAYS OF WINE AND ROSES. However, the film was itself based on a
television play written for the 50's anthology series PLAYHOUSE 90. In
the tv version, Piper Laurie starred with Cliff Robertson.
