I watch TP in surround sound and have never had any audio problems.
However, it is quite possible that you could experience problems with
the voices but not the music.  The dialog track is typically in the
front-center channel.  The music tracks are usually in the
front-left&right channels as well as the surround channel (rear).
There could be surround encoding problems or phase cancellation problems
that affect the dialog track but not the music tracks.
