Subject: I smell an Emmy... From: marsup@ac.dal.ca Date: 1990-11-11, 12:24 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks The 11/10 episode of Twin Peaks was a gem. Who would have thought (apart from TP fans, of course) that a television program could play with your mind with such deftness? The whole episode fascinated me, but the last 15 minutes mesmerized me. The complexity of the plot, the surgical precision in the editing of the show that allowed flipping between BOB and Leland in an almost flawless way, the mysteriousness of the Road House and horse scenes...Chapeau to the Lynch/Frost team. I honestly believe that this episode, and indeed the whole series, is worthy of the Emmy for Best Dramatic Production. Actually, that doesn't sound quite right, does it? TP is a brand new way of making television. Perhaps a new Emmy category should be created. How about some suggestions? Mario Ouellet marsup@ac.dal.ca
