Don't forget that Leland is just an "ordinary inhabitant of Twin Peaks" too, yet BOB inhabits him. My guess is that Droolcup is a host for the giant who is an owl. Anyone notice how there's always a bright spotlight on the "owls" and the people they're interacting with?
