|N|o, the diary establishes parameters that actually help to
`-' derail bad theories (which have swamped alt.tv.twin-peaks
    since its inception, well before the diary was printed).
    The "Maddy is Laura" theory, for example, bites the dust
    (along with "Maddy and Laura are secretly twin sisters"
    and other such nonsense) with the diary's revelation that
    the two were born four years apart from each other.
