Sheryl Lee was indeed found in a local talent audition and signed for the
bit part.  Lynch liked her and decided to expand her role (although I *think*
she is done for good now).  I believe she is studying acting/acting in the
Seattle area.

I heard this very early on (like a week or so after the premiere).
