Subject: Re: Leland Speaks! An interview with Ray Wise From: bobk@hpscdc.scd.hp.com (Bob Kelley) Date: 1990-12-18, 13:56 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks I love Teri Gross' show -- she is without a doubt the best interviewer in America today. About 2 months ago, she had Angelo Badilimenti, the composer of Twin Peaks music. He mentioned that he had previously been doing the music to Captain Kangaroo. He was using some big band music from his teen-age music writing days for many of the songs that BOB danced to. He said that David Lynch told him to write Laura's theme "as a dark and somber tune elevating to a more and more intense theme finally reach a plateau of incredible beauty whereupon it would fall back to the somber tune". He played it on the spot for him using his piano and David said don't change a thing.
