Subject: Role Reversals

I just thought of a theme which seems to be surfacing lately on TP.
Role reversal. What got me thinking about it was the marriage. In that
scene the former mayor editorializes against the (former?)
newpaperman. Then I got thinking about other role reversals. Denise is
an obvious one of course, but the most important one is the
'investigation' of Coop. The role reversal would be complete if it
turned out that the mountie *was* a fake and he was therefore being
'investigated' by a crook. The purpose of the 2 new, seemingly useless
characters could simply be to provide another parallel to Coops role
reversal. 

Just another one of my stupid theories.
