My thoughts on the recent TP-less Saturdays:

No show runs new episodes every single week.  Usually they fill
up the time with re-runs of previous shows.  However, due to the
format of Twin Peaks, you can't just run this season's shows
in any random order (as you can do with a show like, say, Hunter).
It would be too confusing to stick in a random episode  as a
rerun--and which would you show again anyway?  So naturally when
there are no new episodes to show, ABC will pre-empt TP with
something else.

Make sense?
