BRAVO!  Defending your favourite characters is good for the soul.
 
James is a basic guy, no frills. Not too much imagination either which
makes him vulnerable to the unexpected. 
Me, I like Dick because he is so non-basic, frilly and imaginative,
which makes him vulnerable to the non-existent.
