     In a prior post I said that I thought that 
the dream hypothesis was false.  I just wanted 
to clarify that I was referring to the "TP is 
just a dream" hypothesis, not the "Leo's 
recovery is just a dream" hypothesis.  The 
confrontation between Shelley and the 
newly-awakened Leo was so masterful precisely 
*because* it straddled the line between 
horrifying reality and nightmare. 

      Of course, in TP, that line is exceedingly 
fine to begin with if it exists at all.  This is 
another example of how the creators of the 
series are keeping us guessing about the very 
premises of the series, which keeps it so 
horribly wonderful.  In this one strange way, TP 
is very realistic - i.e., like life, we discover 
the rules as it unfolds, and as it unfolds, we 
realize that things are not what they seem.
