Indeed, in 2013, he said to Catherine, "You defeated me, as I have defeated General ." (I don't remember exactly who he said--who was the Union general at Gettysburg? Not Grant, was it?) In other words, Ben has suffered a critical defeat, and is responding by rewriting history so that another critical defeat is reversed. Just as he wishes he could go back and redo his actions with Catherine. Of course, in light of 2014, the thought of Ben being able to extract any kind of revenge becomes pretty ludicrous, doesn't it? -- Janet SwisherInternet: swsh@midway.uchicago.edu University of ChicagoPhone: (312) 702-7608 Academic and Public ComputingP-mail: 1155 E. 60th St. Chicago IL 60637, USA
