Subject: Brief Summary (!!) of First Season Needed.

Can anyone out there help me? I missed the first season of Twin Peaks
when it was shown here in Britain a month or two ago and am presently
watching the second season, but with only the vaguest idea of "who's 
who", "what's what" and "who's doing what to whom with what and for 
how much?" So, does anyone have any kind of brief summary of the 
first season's events - particularly in terms of major characters 
and important happenings? If anyone does have (or can produce) such
a summary and e-mail it to me, I would be almost eternally grateful.
(I would say absolutely eternally grateful, but eternity is a helluva
 long time - you could drink an awful lot of coffee in eternity!)
