Forgive me if this has been talked to death, but ch2 in SF
showed the first half of the syndicated Dune tonight.  It
was the first time I had watched it since starting to watch
TP.  I had (of course) never noticed that David Lynch
had a miner role in the movie.  Pretty sneaky,  all that
\spice\ covering his face.

I remember the radio/spoken part, but was the
rest of his scene in the original, or did the infamous
1/26 director, Alan Smithee, slip it in to spite him?
