I tend to agree with you. However, it is interesting to note that when Audrey
tells her father he needs help, he responds that all he needs a is little time.
And, he is soon proven correct. Catherine shows up in less than a minute and in
effect surrenders to him (actually to "Love", "Eros", to be more exact).
