     And now the truth.  For all of you who 
still haven't caught on, the so-called "1/26 
episode" was in reality nothing more than a 
collection of the red herring out-takes that 
the writers script into the shooting schedule 
every week to maintain the veil of secrecy over 
the plot until airtime.  Every interpretation of 
those scenes represented nothing more than the 
viewer's attempt to fit the action into his or 
her preconceived notions of the story.  In 
actuality, there was no connection whatsoever 
between what was shown on 1/26 and any other 
part of the series, or even between the 
different segments of that episode, as those 
segments were actually taped at various times 
and in different contexts over the course of the 
first 1-1/2 seasons.

     So there.
