The Modern Languages Association's next meeting in San Francisco
(Christmastime 1991) will include a session devoted to Twin Peaks.
The name of the session is "'The Owls Are Note What They Seem':  Literary
Perspectives on TWIN PEAKS."  Proposals (2-page abstracts) are due
by March 5.  For further information, write the MLA at 10 Astor Place, 
NY NY 10003-6981.
