Subject: HEEES BAAAACK...

I thought this was an extremely uneven episode. The lowlights:

 1) Some painfully wooden acting, especially from James Marshall and Peggy
    Lipton (that scene in the diner, where you could practically see the
    cue card from which she was reading her lines).

 2) Good-oldfashioned police brutality from Hawk--this was just offensive.

 3) The obvious romantic subplot between Audrey and Ben's friend looks to be
    as boring as the James/Donna story.

The highlights:

 1) Albert is still in Twin Peaks.

 2) I was right about Josie.

 3) Great ending that redeemed everything that came before.

However:

 1) The deaths of two pivotal characters promise to leave many unanswered 
    questions, not the least of which is why Josie shot Coop (her explanation
    was idiotic).

 2) More distressing is the fact that the show is on hiatus (presumably in the
    same sense that Calvin Coolidge is on hiatus) as witnessed by the lack of
    promo for next week. Sigh.
