Subject: Of doorknobs and logs... From: broehl@watserv1.waterloo.edu (Bernie Roehl) Date: 1991-02-17, 09:29 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks A neat episode! I wonder if Truman will start carrying around a nighttable knob? He could double-date with the Log Lady! Seriously, I suspect that what happened to Josie is what happened to Margaret's late husband. In each case their spirit fled their body to avoid imminent death and took up residence in the nearest wooden object. (Actually, "fled" may not be correct -- their spirits were apparently shifted to those objects by some outside force). On a different note... I'm still in shock at the cancellation news. I'm hoping that Global will continue showing the remaining 6 episodes, even if ABC doesn't; if this proves to be the case, I'll gladly post synopses for our friends south of the border (no, not the Mexicans; I'm posting from Canada). In any case, I suspect Lynch/Frost will release the entire series (including the missing 6 episodes) on video. They'll probably make more money that way; it worked for Madonna :-) Now *there's* an interesting idea... a television series made specifically for home video. Anyone know if this has been done, or what the economics would be? One two-hour episode per month would be about right. -- Bernie Roehl, University of Waterloo Electrical Engineering Dept Mail: broehl@sunee.waterloo.edu OR broehl@sunee.UWaterloo.ca BangPath: {allegra, decvax, utzoo, clyde}!watmath!sunee!broehl Voice: (519) 885-1211 x 2607 [work]
