Subject: Twin Peaks - any possible future? From: halcyon!hikaru@sumax.seattleu.edu (Demosthenes) Date: 1991-02-18, 16:44 Newsgroups: alt.tv.twin-peaks I've written my letter to BOB Iger, and I am confident that Twin Peaks will be placed back on the air, one way or the other. But, come on! What the hell did the ABSOLUTE GENIUSES (not!) at ABC expect when they took Twin Peaks from it's fairly-high rated Tuesday time slot and put it in at the 10:00 Pm saturday night graveyard slot? If they replaced it in a weeknight slot, the ratings would not be so bad - they might not be as good as Cosby (yecch) , but they would NOt be at 86th place. By the same token, if the Nielsen system took into account VCR recordings, the ratings would not be as bad. And on another topic: Certain characters and situations have not been consistent since first season. For instance, are just supposed to think that Bobby, Audrey, Shelly, James, etc. have just been skipping school for the past week or so? Last I heard, they were high school seniors. Second, what happened to Ben, Jerry, and Bobby being the complete a-holes they were first season? I mean, they were the absolute slime on TP for the first six or seven episodes - besides Leo, of course. Bobby was a murderer wannabe/drug dealer etc., Ben and Jerry were organized criminals, pimps, etc. And now they might as well be Ward Cleavers, all of 'em. ************************************************************************** "Mr. BOB, you've killed Theresa Banks, * Richard Barrett Laura Palmer, Jacques Renault, and * 18004 146th Ave NE Maddy Ferguson.
