The dwarf is probably a representative of the White Lodge, and he was giving clues to Coop through the dream. One of the clues was that the Little Man was dancing. This was a subtle clue to point out the murderer, Leland, who danced compulsively. Aaaaaargggghhhhh! The Association of Broadcasting Crapheads has done it AGAIN!
