Last year someone posted that ABC asked Lynch and co. to not drag out the 
story lines so much.  This seems to have happened.  The James/Evelyn thread 
only lasted about 3 episodes (it seems longer because of the holidays hiatus).  
The Denise/investigation-of-Coop thread was rather short too.  Eckhart
probably could have gone 1 more week but it doesn't seem strange that they
ended it when they did.
