The song "Waltzing Matilda" was recently re-recorded by the Irish 
band The Pogues, perhaps three years ago. I can't remember the name
of the album the song appeared on, but it was a very good version
of the song. Any of The Pogues albums are a good investment. 
Depending on the date of the entry in the diary, it's likely Laura
was writing about this version.
