It was, as they said, Noel Coward; specifically, Private Lives.  The
main lines I remember being quoted were about the potency of cheap music
(only they said something other than music), and the tagline "Very
<adjective>, <placename>," both of them famous lines from Private Lives.
And the general ultra-sophistication, with martinis and cigarette
holders and attempts at British accents.
